Processing Technicians Make It Possible

Processing Technician - Automated Laboratory - Evening Shift

Step into NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, where clinical laboratory professionals are redefining the limits of science and medicine. With patients from across the globe, we study some of the most complex and rarely seen medical conditions. And through our work, we guide the effective diagnosis and treatment of the many people we serve. Now, you can help Make It Possible.   

Bring your talents to our tight-knit team, and provide the support our laboratory technologists need to complete tests that drive high-quality care and caring. Register patients, process requisition forms and perform accessioning functions. Collect patient specimens through venipuncture and other methods. Conduct centrifugation. Separate samples into aliquots. Label specimens, and distribute them to appropriate laboratory sections for testing. 

Processing Techs on Evenings (4:00pm - 12:00am) plus alternate weekends and rotating holidays

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2 years experience in specimen processing

• Prior data entry experience

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
