Sobre esta vaga de Platform Support Engineer - Vendor Platform na Sieve
About Us
Sieve is a multi-modal lab curating the world's highest-quality training datasets, spanning video, audio, images, text, and 3D. We combine exabyte-scale data infrastructure and novel multimodal understanding techniques that push the frontier of foundation models. Video alone makes up 80% of internet traffic, and across modalities, data has become the enabling medium powering creativity, communication, gaming, AR/VR, and robotics. Sieve exists to solve the biggest bottleneck in the growth of these applications: high-quality training data.
We partner with top AI labs and did $XXM last quarter alone, as a team of ~30 people. We also raised our Series A from Tier 1 firms such as Matrix Partners, Swift Ventures, Y Combinator, and AI Grant.
Why Now
Sieve is one of the most capital-efficient teams in AI, with roughly 50 people serving the world's leading AI labs across every major data modality. You'll join early, own problems end-to-end, and watch your work ship directly into the models defining the frontier.
About the role
We’re looking for a Platform Support Engineer based in India to support our Product Platform team, primarily on the vendor platform. You’ll keep existing workflows running reliably, investigate technical issues, and reduce the support and maintenance burden on the core engineering team.
This role focuses on production support, troubleshooting, bug fixes, and operational improvements. It does not own feature development or a product roadmap.
What you’ll do
Investigate and resolve application errors, integration failures, data discrepancies, and configuration issues.
Triage support requests, assess impact, and communicate progress through resolution.
Use logs, monitoring tools, API testing, and database queries to identify root causes.
Make targeted, well-tested bug fixes and maintenance changes through established review processes.
Write small internal scripts to automate repetitive support tasks.
Improve troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and alerts to reduce recurring issues.
Support release validation and post-release monitoring.
Escalate issues requiring architectural changes or new functionality with clear evidence and reproduction steps.
Maintain clear handoffs and agreed working-hour overlap with the core Product Platform team.
What we’re looking for
2+ years of professional experience in software engineering, application support engineering, production support, or a similar technical role.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting production applications and APIs.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Ability to read an existing codebase and make focused, well-tested fixes.
Familiarity with logs, monitoring tools, Git, and code review processes.
Good judgment when working with production systems, sensitive data, and access permissions.
Clear written and verbal communication, especially when explaining issues and handing work across time zones.
An interest in supporting and improving an established platform.
Nice to have
Experience with vendor, supplier, marketplace, or partner platforms.
Familiarity with third-party integrations, background jobs, and cloud environments.
Experience documenting root causes and automating routine support work.
What success looks like
Support issues are triaged promptly and resolved accurately.
The core platform team spends less time on routine investigations and maintenance.
Recurring issues decrease through durable fixes and better operational procedures.
Documentation and handoffs make future issues easier to resolve.
Changes stay focused on support and maintenance; new feature requests go through the core team’s prioritization process.
