Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Planning & Scheduling Specialist (Saudi National)  to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, managing, and executing all phases of project planning and scheduling, as well as supporting project controls and cost analysis activities. You will work on small to medium-sized projects and provide expert planning and scheduling support to project managers and stakeholders, utilizing broad knowledge of project controls and exposure to various project types and clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform, monitor, and review planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis for both site and office-based activities.
• Develop and maintain baseline and updated schedules using Primavera P6 and Excel, ensuring alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements.
• Ensure detailed, accurate schedules are prepared and maintained by contractors, and verify that these meet project and client standards.
• Review and verify contractor progress reports, checking consistency with approved schedules and work inspection records.
• Prepare progress reports and schedule status summaries for the client, including key milestones, critical paths, and variance analysis.
• Track and follow up on contractor site progress, identifying and reporting any deviations from the approved baseline schedule.
• Verify contractor progress against approved Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and confirm the accuracy of daily report data.
• Analyze and report on contractor delay claims, including time-impact analysis, and prepare technical recommendations for the client.
• Develop and monitor short-term (e.g., three-week look-ahead) schedules and time-critical activity plans to support site execution.
• Support project teams with schedule risk analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning where required.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Parsons and contractor staff on schedule development in P6, progress measurement, and reporting best practices.
• Conduct site inspections as necessary to verify actual progress and validate reported data against physical work completed.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and contract teams to ensure the schedule reflects realistic sequences, logic ties, and resource considerations.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on schedule status, key risks, and mitigation plans to project management and the client.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
• 10 years experience in planning and scheduling for construction projects, including work on large-scale or complex projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office software; Power BI experience is advantageous.
• Proven experience in planning and monitoring construction activities, including progress measurement and performance forecasting.
• Experience in analyzing complex contractor delay claims and preparing structured reports and recommendations for clients.
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop, review, and present schedule deliverables with minimal supervision, using sound professional judgment.
• Good understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, gained through practical project experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain schedule logic, risks, and impacts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring team members and contractor staff in P6 schedule preparation and progress reporting methodologies.
• Ability to prepare and manage detailed three-week look-ahead schedules and time-critical activity plans.
• Excellent command of the English language (written and oral).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural project teams.
