The People Services Advisor is responsible for delivering expertise and guidance across the employee lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant, and employee-focused HR, payroll, benefits, and HR systems processes. The role acts as a key advisor to managers and employees, driving continuous improvement, process standardisation, and operational excellence.  Ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with company policies, employment legislation, service level agreements, and data protection requirements.

Success in the role will be demonstrated through the effective delivery of People Services support and advice, ensuring employees and managers receive accurate, timely and customer-focused guidance across the employee lifecycle. Maintaining high-quality people data, resolving queries efficiently with professionalism and empathy, and contributing to a positive employee experience while ensuring compliance with employment policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards. The role will also play an active part in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, enhancing service delivery, and supporting the evolution of People Services processes and practices.

What we’re looking for

HR Administration & Employee Lifecycle Management

Experience in managing end-to-end employee lifecycle processes and offboarding activities. Ability to prepare accurate HR documentation and maintain employee records within HR systems to a high standard of accuracy and confidentiality.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

Experience administering payroll-related activities and employee benefit programmes, such as pensions, insurances, flexible benefits, and salary sacrifice schemes. Proven ability to reconcile data, carry out validation checks and resolve data discrepancies.  Experience of working effectively with third-party providers to resolve issues.

Customer Service & Stakeholder Support

Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to act as first point of contact providing expert guidance and advice to managers, employees, and stakeholders on People Services processes.  Respond accurately and timely to queries and delivering a professional and positive employee experience.  Build effective relationships with People Leaders, HR colleagues, Finance, Payroll, external providers, and other business stakeholders to support operational and strategic objectives 

Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Location & Ways of Working

This role can be based in Warrington, with flexibility to work between home and the office depending on business needs.

What’s in It for You

A salary between £42,000 - £55,150 , £2,200 benefit allowance, 12.5% bonus opportunity, 6x pensionable life assurance, 50% income protection, 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, and a £250 new‑joiner payment—alongside opportunities for development and progression.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a competency‑based interview and may be asked to provide evidence of document management capability. This role requires BPSS checks as part of our onboarding process.
