40Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled sonographer who enjoys working with children and families in a pediatric healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, producing high-quality cardiac imaging studies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving the lives of children with congenital and acquired heart conditions.
Performs complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Ultrasound procedures include: Transthoracic echocardiography ultrasound on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients. Transesophageal echocardiography ultrasound on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients. These responsibilities will take place in various locations and different settings that include inpatient, outpatient, and outreach clinic settings. On call responsibilities will take place nights, weekends and holidays.
Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday with varying hours:
7:30 am-4:00 pm, 8:00 am-4:30 pm or 8:30 am-5:00 pm
Education & Experience:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred:
Graduate of a cardiac ultrasound program.
Experienced as an echocardiographer.
1 year of pediatric experience.
Certification/Licensure:
Required:
BLS Certified
Credentialed as a Registered Sonographer (RDC) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCSC) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), must be obtained within 2 years of hire date.
Preferred:
Certified as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
