Bain Capital Asia aims to leverage the firm’s success and experience investing in North America and Europe to pursue investment opportunities in the Asian markets. Working with the firm’s US- and European-based teams and other investment areas, Bain Capital Asia functions as a part of an integrated worldwide organization and leverages the firm’s global capabilities in analyzing, executing, and managing investments.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The position can be based in Hong Kong or Shanghai. The Analyst/Associate program is a two-year commitment (with potential for ongoing employment following end of program). The program has been an important component of Bain Capital throughout the history of the firm. It provides a differential experience due to the roles Analysts/Associates play as well as our value-added approach to investment management. Furthermore, the breadth of industries, the multiple types of investments and the overall deal volume provide a unique opportunity to gain significant experience in a short period of time. In addition, Analysts/Associates will benefit from a comprehensive global training program that is designed to introduce Bain Capital's value-added investment approach. They will learn how to evaluate investment opportunities through the application of fundamental strategic analysis in addition to the more traditional financial modeling. For those interested, we also offer the ability to gain unique operating experience on a variety of portfolio company issues by working closely with management teams to evaluate potential add-on investments, assess opportunities in new and existing markets, and improve core operations.   Bain Capital professionals are exposed to a broad set of situations and companies and systematically develop skills as a value-added investor - not just a financial engineer.
