Westgold is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team on a 15-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to build your payroll experience while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services across the business. Working closely with employees, HR and Finance teams, you'll assist with payroll processing, reconciliations, reporting and employee enquiries while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Process fortnightly and monthly payroll activities.
• Maintain employee payroll records and system data.
• Complete payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements.
• Assist with payroll tax, superannuation and statutory obligations.
• Respond to employee payroll enquiries.
• Support payroll compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide administrative support to the payroll function.

About You

To be successful, you'll bring:

• Previous payroll or payroll administration experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Sound knowledge of Australian payroll practices and legislation.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A positive attitude and collaborative approach to teamwork.
