We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering accurate and timely payroll services across Elders' diverse national workforce, including our Real Estate network. Combining your payroll expertise with a strong customer focus, you'll provide trusted support to employees and stakeholders, ensure payroll processes run smoothly, and contribute to a positive and seamless employee experience. Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll help drive accurate outcomes while supporting the ongoing success of our people and business.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with preparing and processing end-to-end fortnightly payrolls
- Assisting with the preparation, administration and remittance of all statutory requirements
- Ensuring payroll practices are compliant and company policy, awards, employment agreements and legislation are applied correctly
- Actioning requests and queries within agreed timelines
- Maintaining electronic employee files and records
- Building strong relationships
- Creating, streamlining and driving efficiencies
About you
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within payroll, with a proven ability to deliver accurate and timely payroll services, with real estate experience desirable.
- Strong experience in processing large payrolls end-to-end, with the ability to demonstrate an established understanding of payroll and relevant legislation
- Chris21 experience essential with technical knowledge highly desirable
- A confident communicator (via telephone, email, video conferencing) to engage effectively
- Task focussed, with the ability to prioritise under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- A strong problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, with Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel
- Previous experience with Workday is highly regarded.
