Lead Strategic Partner Relationships
You have already built and managed important client or partner relationships in a SaaS company or marketing agency. You know how to understand a partner’s business, lead strategic conversations, manage expectations, and translate their priorities into coordinated action.
You also understand digital and performance marketing well enough to discuss growth goals, funnels, marketing investments, and performance data with confidence.
Our client is looking for a Partner Success Manager to serve as the primary strategic contact for a focused portfolio of approximately 2–6 high-touch partners.
This is not a sales position, a high-volume Customer Success role, or a hands-on media-buying job. You will help partners make better growth decisions, connect marketing performance with business objectives, and align cross-functional teams around measurable outcomes.
What Makes This Role Different
Build depth with a small partner portfolio
You will manage approximately 2–6 high-touch partner relationships rather than dozens of transactional accounts. This allows you to understand each partner’s business model, economics, growth priorities, marketing funnel, stakeholders, and performance challenges.
Own the strategic relationship
You will be the primary or one of the leading contacts for your partners. You will lead regular business and performance discussions, present insights and recommendations, manage expectations, surface risks, and build long-term trust.
Connect marketing performance with business goals
You will use performance and business data to help partners understand what is working, where opportunities exist, and how marketing investments support wider growth objectives.
Coordinate the complete growth agenda
Your scope will extend across paid acquisition, creative, CRM and email, analytics, funnel optimization, campaign management, and production. You will translate partner goals into clear priorities and align the specialists responsible for delivery.
Focus on partner outcomes, not sales quotas
You will not prospect, close new business, or carry a sales quota. Success will be measured through partner performance, trust, retention, and long-term value.
What You’ll Own
Serve as the primary strategic contact for approximately 2–6 high-touch partners.
Develop a detailed understanding of each partner’s business model, growth goals, funnel, KPIs, and marketing economics.
Build trusted relationships with Marketing and Growth Leads, founders, and other senior stakeholders.
Lead regular strategic, business, and performance conversations.
Present results, interpret data, and turn findings into clear recommendations.
Help partners identify risks, growth opportunities, and priorities for their marketing investments.
Translate business objectives into actionable direction for internal teams.
Coordinate specialists across paid media, campaign management, creative, CRM/email, data and analytics, and production.
Align stakeholders, clarify responsibilities, identify blockers, and keep initiatives moving forward.
Support the adoption and use of a proprietary growth intelligence platform that connects marketing and financial data.
Adapt your approach across partners from different industries and with different business models.
Build long-term partner value by combining strong relationship ownership with commercially relevant marketing insight.
The Experience We’re Looking For
You should bring:
Approximately 6–8 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong account management, client services, client success, or partner management experience in a SaaS company or marketing agency.
Proven ownership of important client or partner relationships.
Experience acting as the primary or senior point of contact rather than only supporting client communication.
Experience leading strategic meetings, presenting results and recommendations, and working with senior stakeholders.
Experience managing complex, high-touch accounts rather than a large portfolio of low-touch customers.
A strong working understanding of digital and performance marketing.
Familiarity with paid acquisition, campaign management, funnels, conversion optimization, CRM/email, and marketing analytics.
The ability to interpret and discuss CAC, ROAS, LTV, conversion, retention, and marketing efficiency.
Experience connecting performance data with business goals and investment decisions.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and turning partner objectives into executable plans.
Exposure to marketing budgets of at least $100,000 per month.
Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
High ownership, organization, autonomy, and comfort working in a fast-moving remote environment.
You do not need to personally configure or optimize campaigns in your current role. However, you must understand performance marketing well enough to evaluate results, ask informed questions, challenge assumptions, and guide strategic conversations.
Hands-on PPC or campaign execution without proven ownership of client relationships will not be sufficient for this role.
This May Be the Right Next Step If
You already own key client or partner relationships in a SaaS company or marketing agency.
You act as a primary strategic contact rather than only supporting delivery or campaign execution.
You understand both the business and marketing context behind your partners’ goals.
You enjoy managing a small portfolio of complex, high-touch relationships.
You are comfortable advising Marketing and Growth Leads, founders, and other senior stakeholders.
You can use performance data to form recommendations rather than simply report results.
You know how to align paid media, creative, CRM, analytics, campaign management, and production specialists around shared outcomes.
You want broader strategic ownership while remaining close to clients and execution.
The role is likely to align with experience gained as a Senior Account Manager, Strategic Account Manager, Client Partner, Client Success Manager, or Partner Success Manager. Title alone is less important than proven ownership of complex client relationships and the ability to discuss growth and performance marketing at a strategic level.
Nice to Have
Experience working with SaaS or MarTech products or platforms.
Experience with D2C, e-commerce, subscription, nonprofit, B2B, or B2C businesses.
Exposure to multiple industries rather than one narrow vertical.
Experience using marketing analytics or business intelligence platforms.
Responsibility for client retention, portfolio performance, or account profitability.
