Build relationships with homeowners via company supplied leads while helping them choose residential garage doors and related products. This outside sales role combines customer consultation, field visits, estimating, and ownership of each opportunity from first conversation through closing.
What you will do
- Meet with homeowners via company supplied leads in St. Louis and surrounding areas to assess needs and recommend suitable doors, operators, and related services.
- Develop new business and maintain relationships with existing customers through timely follow-up and consultative selling.
- Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and scopes of work; manage details from initial contact through the sale.
- Meet sales and gross profit goals, coordinate project details when needed, and keep the customer relationship management system current.
What we are looking for
- At least three years of outside sales experience; garage door, building products or home improvement sales experience is preferred.
- Comfort with technical products and mechanical systems; ability to read blueprints, plans and specifications is a plus.
- Strong customer service, communication and follow-through skills.
- A valid driver’s license. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
