About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-driven order management professional to own how our deals move from quote to booking as we scale. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will make sure every order, whether sold directly, through channel partners, or through cloud marketplaces, is structured, approved, and booked accurately and in line with company policy. You will own Marketplace operations including Private Offer creation, tracking, reporting and establishing integrations to support the broader order management function.
This is an individual contributor role with high ownership and broad visibility. You will sit at the intersection of Sales, Partnerships, Deal Desk, Billing, and Accounting, and you will have the opportunity to build the checklists, controls, and processes that keep our order-to-cash data clean as the business grows.
What You’ll Do
- Order Review & Booking: Review and book customer orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with booking policy. Validate that pricing, discounts, terms, products, and dates on the signed order match what is in Nue and Salesforce before an order is booked.
- Deal Compliance Checklists: Build, maintain, and enforce deal checklists that cover the full lifecycle from quote generation through booking in Nue. Ensure required approvals, non-standard terms, and supporting documentation are captured and clearly documented for every deal.
- Marketplace: Own the order process for all marketplace and partner transactions, including direct private offers on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Marketplace, channel partner private offers, and reseller orders. Reconcile marketplace offers and disbursement reports against bookings and billing records.
- Co-Sell, Deal Registration & Partner Payouts: Support deal registration and co-sell activity in WorkSpan, and Salesforce so partner attribution and approvals are captured correctly at booking. Track partner referral fees, commissions, rebates, and marketplace incentives, and provide reconciled data to Accounting for accruals and payments.
- Month-End & Quarter-End Close: Support the close by ensuring all bookings are complete and accurate within deadlines. Reconcile bookings, usage, and billing data, and resolve order exceptions ahead of close.
- Booking Data Integrity & Reporting: Serve as the owner of order & subscription data quality in our systems. Produce regular reporting on booking volume, accuracy, cycle time, usage trends, partner-sourced and partner-influenced bookings, and partner payouts for Finance and Partnerships leadership.
- Audit & Controls: Maintain documentation and evidence for order management controls. Support internal and external audit requests related to bookings, contracts, and marketplace transactions.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a first point of contact for Sales, Deal Desk, Partnerships, Legal, Billing, and Customer Success on order and booking questions. Resolve booking errors quickly and with minimal customer disruption.
- AI & Automation: Identify error patterns and manual workarounds across the quote-to-booking process, and lead the use of AI tools to eliminate them. Examples include AI-assisted contract and order review, automated deal checklist validation, usage anomaly detection, and marketplace and partner reconciliation. Partner with Sales Ops to build AI-enabled workflows across Nue, Salesforce, and downstream integrations, and measure their impact on accuracy and cycle time.
What You Bring
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Order Management, Deal Desk, Billing Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related quote-to-cash function, ideally within a high-growth technology or SaaS company. People management experience is not required.
- Marketplace & Partner Experience: Hands-on experience processing orders through cloud marketplaces such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Oracle Cloud, including private offers and channel partner private offers. Experience supporting reseller or co-sell programs. Familiarity with WorkSpan is a plus.
- Systems & Tools: Hands-on experience with Salesforce and a CPQ platform, ideally Nue. Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP, a billing system, and advanced Excel skills.
- AI Fluency: Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or AI features within business systems) to automate or improve finance or operations workflows. Curiosity about new tools and sound judgment about where AI output needs human review and controls.
- Attention to Detail & Ownership: A track record of catching data inconsistencies before they reach billing or financial reporting. Comfort owning ambiguous problems and driving them to resolution with limited supervision.
- Communication: Ability to explain booking policy and deal requirements clearly to Sales and cross-functional partners, and to hold the line on compliance while keeping deals moving.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Why Join Us?
- Impact: You will own the quote-to-booking process, subscription activation, and marketplace management that drive our billing and revenue, and shape how that process scales.
- Visibility: You will work closely with the Controller and cross-functional leaders across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
- Growth: An opportunity to build an AI-enabled order management function, including the checklists, controls, and systems that will scale with the company.
