Day: 12 hoursJob Description
Job Responsibilities
Handle calls throughout the day.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of work systems such as Epic, to easily maneuver the procedural schedule.
Keep up-to-date with all changes in the department to help with problem-solving and successful completion of procedures.
Direct all patient, staff and physician’s questions to appropriate hospital personnel and management.
Clarify with management about policies and procedures to maintain appropriate knowledge and understanding.
Assist with scheduling of add on procedural cases.
Update and manage changes to the schedule, such as add-ons and cancellations as assigned.
Maintain office supply stock i.e. printer paper, markers, pens, pencils, batteries, etc.
Facilitate surgeon scheduling needs and know when to escalate to the Charge Nurse and/or management when scheduling needs/demands are outside of the norm.
Under direction of the Charge Nurse and/or management, maintain clear communication around the daily schedule and notify surgeons, their offices and ECH staff of any scheduling conflicts or issues for the day.
Work in e-Time to assist with staff scheduling by inputting schedules, under direction of management.
Assist with administrative tasks, as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum three (3) years of administrative experience.
Has exhibited leadership qualities by leading process improvement efforts or projects in any of the units supported by this department.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, with OR scheduling experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work with minimum direct supervision.
Demonstrates clear, courteous and pleasant communication skills with appropriate usage of grammar, pronunciation and tone.
Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively as a team member under multiple demands and expectations.
Ability to foster & maintain superior working relationships with co-workers and physicians.
Positive, open-minded, self-motivated, and focused on continuous improvement.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to learn new processes, procedures and software programs quickly, while demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Salary Range:
