The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the inspection, testing, maintenance, service, and installation of fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire suppression, fire extinguisher. This role ensures operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, employee development, and profitability across all service lines.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure quote requests, inspections, and service-related activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide initial and ongoing training for field fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire suppression, fire extinguisher, as well as customer service best practices.
- Manage customer concerns, operational disputes, and billing issues.
- Lead employee hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and development.
- Manage local and remote employees to ensure consistent service quality and operational performance.
- Meet regularly with customers to gather feedback and identify service improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate staffing needs and make hiring recommendations to support business growth.
- Work with technicians, inspectors, fitters, and field personnel to maintain appropriate inventory levels and operational efficiency.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with applicable fire and life safety codes, reporting requirements, and company standards.
- Support National Account customers by ensuring consistent service execution across multiple locations.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to resolve operational issues and strengthen customer relationships.
Education/Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or equivalent work related experience.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Direct experience in the fire protection industry, including fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and fire suppression operations, required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing field service teams, installers, inspectors, fitters, and remote employees preferred.
- Experience supporting National Accounts preferred.
- Industry certifications are a plus, including:
- Fire Alarm License (FAL)
- Fire Equipment License (FEL)
- FEL-K Kitchen Suppression
- NICET Fire Sprinkler Certification

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
