The Operations Management Intern will support the SSA Region operations team in executing day-to-day operational activities, improving performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers hands-on exposure to operational management, reporting, project coordination, Lean practices, and cross-functional collaboration across internal stakeholders.The internship is designed for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn, contribute to operational excellence, and gain practical experience in a global energy business environment.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support daily management sessions and Monthly Operating Reviews by preparing materials, tracking actions, and documenting outcomes
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of operational projects and initiatives
- Monitor and report on regional KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC)
- Support operational dashboards, reporting tools, and performance tracking processes
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving for operational performance issues
- Participate in Lean/Kaizen events and support continuous improvement activities
- Assist with system-related administrative tasks, issue logging, basic troubleshooting, and reducing manual reporting effort
- Prepare reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and leadership updates
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, commercial operations, parts fulfilment, quality, procurement, and project teams

Education:
Recently completed a degree in Engineering, Business Operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with project planning or reporting tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools is an advantage
- Exposure to dashboards, business systems, or operational reporting is beneficial
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems is a plus
- Basic knowledge of ticketing systems, SQL, VBA, or PowerShell would be useful
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, adaptable mindset
- Interest in Lean thinking, process improvement, and operational excellence
- Prior internship or project experience in operations, project management, or related fields is a plus, but not required
