About the Role
Block Law is looking for a creative, personable, and camera-ready Social Media Content Creator to join our growing marketing team in Burbank.
We are a fast-growing personal injury law firm with a modern, media-friendly approach to marketing, and our attorneys actually enjoy being on camera. Content is a core part of how we grow, and we're looking for someone who can help us significantly expand our social media presence.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on camera, has real creative ideas, and wants to continue building their filming, editing, and storytelling skills at a company that will actually use their input.
You do not need to be an expert in every area of video production. We are primarily looking for someone who is engaging, comfortable presenting, hard-working, creative, and able to connect naturally with an audience.
One day you might be filming an attorney breaking down what to do after a car accident. Another day, you could be on camera yourself as the face of a UGC-style video, shooting man-on-the-street content around Burbank, or turning a client win into a 30-second Reel.
About Block Law
We're a young, fast-moving firm with the energy of a startup and a leadership team that treats marketing as a growth engine, not an expense. We move quickly, test constantly, and give people room to run with their ideas.
Our content makes the law approachable, builds trust with our audience, and shows the real people behind the firm.
What You'll Do
- Regularly appear in videos as a friendly and engaging face of Block Law
- Explain legal topics clearly and conversationally so they are easy for anyone to understand
- Interview and film our attorneys and staff and help them feel comfortable and confident on camera
- Develop into a recognizable personality for the firm across social platforms
- Plan, film, edit, and publish 5+ short-form videos per week for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook
- Write attention-grabbing hooks, scripts, captions, and on-screen text
- Film in-office, on location throughout Burbank and Greater Los Angeles, and at community events
- Edit content into clear, entertaining, platform-native videos
- Create captions, titles, thumbnails, graphics, and overlays
- Adapt content across different platforms and formats
- Manage the content calendar and maintain a consistent posting cadence
- Track content performance, including views, watch time, saves, follower growth, and leads
- Identify successful content and use performance data to guide future ideas
- Stay on top of social media trends, sounds, and formats and creatively adapt them for a law firm audience
- Engage with comments and DMs to help build our online community
- Collaborate with our marketing team and media buyer to turn top-performing organic content into paid ad creative
- Pitch new ideas during brainstorms and content-planning meetings
- Follow creative direction while bringing your own personality, perspective, and ideas
- Use AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to support research, scripting, and content planning
Requirements
Your on-camera presence, creativity, and work ethic are the most important parts of this position.
- Comfortable, personable, and engaging on camera
- Able to explain ideas clearly and naturally in spoken English
- Strong work ethic with the ability to consistently produce and publish content
- Creative and willing to bring new ideas to the table, not just execute someone else's vision
- Familiar with video filming and editing
- Able to take a rough idea and turn it into a finished video
- Organized and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Comfortable collaborating with a team in an in-person environment
- Strong interest in social media, video, marketing, and brand building
- Comfortable receiving feedback and adjusting content quickly
- Willing to experiment with new formats, concepts, and creative approaches
Professional production experience is welcome but not required. Personal projects, freelance work, school projects, and content created for your own social channels all count as relevant experience.
