Our Maternal Newborn Department at MelroseWakefield Hospital includes:
State-of-the-art and private newly remodeled labor and deliver suites and Mother Infant Unit Rooms
Labor and Delivery triage area
Level 2A Special Care Nursery
In-house 24/7 anesthesia coverage
In-house 24/7 neonatology coverage
Position Highlights:
• 10 shifts per month offering excellent flexibility
*8,12-hour shifts/month, Monday-Thursday, Nocturnist schedule: 7 PM-7 AM
*2, 24-hour shifts/month, Sundays: 7 AM (Sunday) - 7 AM (Monday)
• 900 Deliveries Annually – Shared between OB-Gyn Generalist Team
• Dedicated support from in-house Anesthesia, Neonatology, and ICU teams 24/7
• Opportunity to focus on inpatient obstetrics and consultative gynecology
Your Collaborative Role:
• Provide obstetrical care on Labor & Delivery
• Manage triage evaluations and admissions
• Perform gynecologic consults and urgent care
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff, and physician colleagues
• Participate in quality initiatives and patient safety programs

About You
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Passion for team-based, hospital-based care
• Commitment to caring for a diverse patient population
• Eligible for or licensed in Massachusetts

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $270,000 - $300,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
