About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life
This opportunity is designed for an OB/GYN who enjoys hospital-based medicine and wants to be an important part of a team coverage model. Depending on the hospital contract, you may provide obstetric hospitalist coverage, support office-based OB/GYNs, pick up call coverage, or help manage coverage at a secondary hospital.
The organization works with multiple hospitals and continues to pursue new hospitalist programs. A newly awarded program could create several physician openings on a relatively short timeline, making this a strong opportunity for physicians interested in joining and helping establish a growing coverage team.
Specific responsibilities—including delivery volume, GYN emergencies, high-risk obstetrics, procedures, shift structure, and clinical support—will be confirmed for each hospital program.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Physician-led and privately owned with no current plans for private equity ownership
- Opportunity to focus primarily on hospital-based OB/GYN care
- Growing hospitalist platform with potential to join new programs as they launch
- Collaborative coverage model designed to support practice-based OB/GYN physicians
- Potential for additional compensated leadership opportunities
- Bilingual and multilingual physicians are highly valued, with a potential language stipend depending on qualifications and certification

- Support office-based OB/GYN physicians through hospital and call coverage
- Provide overflow or secondary-hospital coverage when required
- Participate in nights, weekends, call, or in-house coverage according to the applicable schedule
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, APPs, and specialty services
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring physicians
- Follow hospital quality, safety, credentialing, and clinical practice requirements
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Completed accredited OB/GYN residency training
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Board-eligible physicians must meet applicable certification timelines
- Eligible for Arizona medical licensure; an active Arizona license is strongly preferred for opportunities requiring rapid placement
- Eligible for applicable hospital privileges and credentialing
- Strong clinical judgment, dependability, and communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Early- to mid-career OB/GYN physicians are of particular interest based on long-term staffing needs
- Active Arizona medical license
- Interest in hospital-based obstetrics and collaborative coverage
- Comfortable joining a new or rapidly expanding hospitalist program
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities
- J-1 and H-1B candidates may be considered depending on the specific opportunity and timing
