GENERAL OVERVIEW
Performs routine and complex neurodiagnostic testing on all patients as ordered.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs clinical neurodiagnostic procedures including all electroencephalograms, routine and portable electrocerebral silence, 24-hr ambulatory EEG's, EMG/NVC testing, in accordance with the clinical practice guidelines established by the American Society of Electro neurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) and departmental policies/procedures. (40%)
Keeps equipment clean and in operating condition, detects instrument malfunction, makes minor adjustments or reports need for major repairs. (20%)
Demonstrates leadership, technical, and analytical skills for decision making. (15%)
Participates in department projects, initiatives, data collection, audits, quality improvements, and continuing education. (15%)
Guides new employees through an effective training curriculum to ensure successful integration and performance (5%)
Completes all charges according to department guidelines. (5%)
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
Minimum 2 years neurodiagnostic experience in a hospital or physician's office
Preferred
Graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic program preferred.
Additional Employment Requirements:
Must become credentialed by ABRET for the R. EEG T or the AAET for the R.NCS.T. within one year.
CPR – American Heart Association
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
