Roles and Responsibilities – Network Engineer
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability across enterprise environments.
- Configure and manage network security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across multiple layers and provide Level 2/3 support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise-wide network integration.
- Participate in audits, risk assessments, and incident response activities.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network security and performance.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between the Internal users and network service vendors.
- Coordinate vendor activities including installations, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Track and report on vendor deliverables, timelines, and issue resolution.
- Ensure vendors adhere to client’s security, compliance, and operational standards.
- Facilitate regular reviews and meetings with vendors to assess service quality and drive continuous improvement.
- Escalate and manage vendor-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact to client operations.
