About Kerv Connect Cloud (Part of Kerv Group)
You’ll be part of the Network Support & Engineering team in Kerv Connected Cloud.
The Connected Cloud team brings together deep expertise in cloud, networking and managed services to help organisations modernise and run their infrastructure with confidence. Role & responsibilities:
You’ll be working nights to facilitate the delivery of out of hours planned work and to cover P1 and P2 incidents that occur.
- Work closely with solution architects, functional consultants & clients to understand business processes, requirements, and key objectives.
- Provide advanced support for network and security incidents & service requests
- Lead implementation of change requests and project tasks
- The role will include maintenance, software upgrades, hardware replacements. It will also involve resolving emergency P1/P2 incidents that may occur
- Troubleshoot complex networking/security issues across customer environments
- Manage ISP circuits and liaise with providers as needed
Who we are looking for:
Required Experience & skills:
- 4–5 years’ experience in a network & security support role
- Experience working within ITIL-aligned support processes and managing incidents, requests, and changes through ServiceNow.
- Hands-on experience in SD-WAN deployment, administration, and troubleshooting, preferably with VMware VeloCloud and Silver Peak
- Strong knowledge of network security technologies, including Fortinet, Palo Alto, Zscaler, IPS/IDS, Web Filtering, Secure Web Gateways (SWG), and Firewall Policy Management.
- Strong understanding of advanced routing and switching protocols, including OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting ISP circuits and WAN connectivity issues.
- Hands-on experience with Infoblox DDI solutions, including DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
- Experience with network monitoring and observability platforms, including SNMP and API-based monitoring tools.
- Experience with load balancing technologies, preferably F5.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including enterprise routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with Juniper networking and security solutions, including routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
