You want to support industrial research projects and teams with your interest in network management and orchestration technologies, developing methods to automate network operation beyond office IT for industrial use-cases with state of the art networking technologies? Key responsibilities
The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:
- In close collaboration with our research team, you will be developing a distributed network benchmark concept for industrial cloud/internet environments. This includes:
- Conceptualization, analyzing the characteristic communication patterns and QoS requirements of distributed automation traffic as well as different infrastructure scenarios; based on this, define test cases and a methodology to analyze measurements and provide an automated assessment of a concrete cloud/internet situation.
- Development, implementing a benchmark software for the concept, including on-site front-end and cloud backend parts for users to execute tests, and to centrally collect the results.
- Execution, running benchmarks and supporting other users in benchmarking to build a benchmark data-set; evaluate the results of the automated assessment.
Qualifications for the role
- We expect you to bring creativity, initiative, and result orientation to support driving our innovations toward new products and services.
- You have a study background in computer science or communication engineering. You bring experience in software development, communication networks, and basic statistical analysis. A background in cloud application development and LLM-based software development are further benefits.
- You are highly motivated, team-minded, and able to work independently.
- Fluent English in verbal and written form is required.
