The Claim Advisor is responsible for managing low-complexity claims and supporting the effective delivery of broader claims operations 

The role progresses claims from notification to resolution, provides timely support to customers and stakeholders, and delivers claim outcomes in accordance with delegated authority, client requirements and organisational procedures. 

Duties and responsibilities 

Manage an allocated portfolio of low-complexity claims from notification through to resolution and closure. 

• Assess and progress claims in accordance with documented procedures, delegated authority, client requirements and business standards. 

• Gather, review and maintain information required to support claim assessment and decision-making. 

• Maintain timely and professional communication with customers, clients, brokers, service providers and other stakeholders. 

• Manage claim payments and other claim transactions within delegated authority. 

• Identify and escalate claims, issues and decisions that require additional technical assessment, investigation or authority. 

• Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date claim records and documentation. 

• Support Claims Consultants and other team members in the effective management of claims portfolios and operational activities. 

• Contribute to the achievement of client service standards, contractual obligations and business performance objectives. 

• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, industry codes, client requirements and Sedgwick policies and procedures. 

• Actively contribute to team collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Maintains a high standard of claim quality, documentation and administrative accuracy.

• Processes claim payments and transactions accurately and in accordance with delegated authority. 

• Identifies and appropriately escalates claims, risks, complaints and matters requiring additional authority or technical assessment. 

• Maintains compliance with all applicable legislation, industry codes, client requirements and Sedgwick policies and procedures. 

• Completes all mandatory training and accreditation requirements. 

• Contributes positively to team performance, collaboration and continuous improvement activities
