Virta Health is seeking a Member Growth Operations Manager to help evolve how we deliver member communications across email, direct mail, and SMS. As we build toward more personalized member journeys, we are improving the data, systems, and workflows that power our campaigns—with Braze at the center.
In this role, you will help turn that strategy into day-to-day capabilities: reusable campaign components, dynamic content, automated workflows, and reliable processes that support more relevant outreach at scale. You will partner with Growth, Data, Engineering, and Implementation teams to translate business and client needs into operational requirements and bring new capabilities into use.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role with ownership of both campaign delivery and operational improvement. You will execute and maintain current programs while helping build the systems that enable our next stage of growth. It is an opportunity to shape how a team works, see your improvements put into practice, and grow as our capabilities evolve.
How you will work
You connect the details of campaign execution to the broader member experience and business goal. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying the root cause of recurring problems, and deciding when to improve an existing process or build a more scalable approach. You take work from requirements through implementation, testing, documentation, and adoption—and help teammates use what you build.
Responsibilities
Own campaign execution and operational readiness
Independently manage assigned ongoing campaigns and launch work across email, direct mail, and SMS, including configuration, timelines, approvals, vendor coordination, and delivery.
Build and update Braze campaigns and Canvases, maintain client-specific content and catalog data, and support accurate application of contact preferences and suppression rules.
Lead end-to-end QA of content, dynamic logic, audience criteria, links, and technical configuration; troubleshoot issues and strengthen controls to prevent recurrence.
Translate custom communication requests into clear requirements and execution plans, identifying opportunities to meet those needs through reusable solutions.
Document issues, communicate risks early, and help strengthen QA controls based on lessons learned.
Drive continuous improvement across the team
Own operational improvement projects from problem definition through rollout, managing dependencies and communicating decisions, tradeoffs, and risks.
Partner with Growth stakeholders to turn campaign learnings and member behavior into improvements to targeting, journeys, and execution.
Define and track measures of operational success, such as reduced manual effort, faster campaign setup, fewer errors, and more reliable delivery.
Provide hands-on coverage as priorities shift and build shared knowledge that reduces reliance on any one person.
Use AI to streamline campaign operations, strengthen QA, and reduce manual work—applying sound judgment to validate outputs and build reliable, scalable workflows.
90 Day Plan
Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:
Develop a working understanding of our campaign systems, data dependencies, client requirements, QA standards, and transformation priorities.
Independently own assigned campaign workflows, delivering accurate, timely communications and managing dependencies across partners.
Assess an assigned workflow and recommend prioritized improvements based on member and client impact, manual effort, and implementation complexity.
Implement and document at least one reusable component or workflow improvement, validate it through QA, and establish a way to measure its impact.
Must-Haves
5–7 years of relevant experience in marketing operations, lifecycle operations, marketing technology, or a related field, with independent ownership of complex campaigns and operational improvements.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining scalable workflows in Braze or a comparable customer engagement platform, including automation, segmentation, and dynamic content.
Ability to translate business needs into system and data requirements, partner effectively with technical teams, and validate campaign logic and data quality through disciplined QA.
Strong project ownership and communication skills, with the judgment to prioritize improvements alongside ongoing delivery, manage dependencies, and guide teammates through changes.
Successfully designed and implemented repeatable AI-enabled workflows that address team bottlenecks and improve efficiency. For more information about AI usage in our hiring process, see Virta’s AI Interview Resources page.
Nice to Have

Experience supporting direct mail or SMS programs, including vendor coordination and cross-channel contact rules.
Experience with healthcare, benefits, or other environments with complex eligibility, client-specific requirements, and sensitive data.
Values-driven culture
Virta’s company values drive our culture, so you’ll do well if:
You put people first and take care of yourself, your peers, and our patients equally
