The Opportunity

As a Melville - Audit - Intern, you will engage in financial statement audits, gaining exposure to PwC's methodologies and practices. Within our Assurance practice, you will support teams by participating in projects that focus on enhancing transparency and compliance in financial reporting. This role offers a unique chance to observe and contribute to the auditing process, helping clients make informed decisions while upholding integrity and regulatory standards.

As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to professional environments. You will support teams with basic tasks, conduct research, and participate in projects, all while developing your personal brand. This role emphasizes the importance of adopting a learning mindset, actively listening, and appreciating diverse perspectives. You will have the opportunity to gather information from various sources, analyze facts, and discern patterns, all of which contribute to your growth and development.

Responsibilities

- Supporting audit teams in conducting financial statement audits for clients
- Participating in the review and verification of financial documents to validate accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Assisting in the application of auditing methodologies to evaluate financial information
- Engaging in data analysis and interpretation to identify patterns and provide meaningful insights
- Observing and learning from experienced auditors to gain exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies
- Contributing to the preparation of audit reports and documentation
- Collaborating with team members to address client inquiries and provide client support
- Applying accounting and financial reporting standards in audit processes
- Developing an understanding of internal controls and their role in financial audits
- Gathering information from various sources to support audit findings and recommendations

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, speak) with business level fluency in Chinese and English
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment
- Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
