The Receptionist 1 receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Receptionist 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.As a receptionist, you'll:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, in person and over the phone, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage calendars, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient flow.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using EMR and CRM systems.
- Update patient accounts and collect copays when needed.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information and empathy.
- Keep the reception area clean, stocked, and organized.
- Help with supply orders, inventory management, and courier coordination.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year experience in healthcare customer service background in retail, hospitality, or call centers also considered
- Convey information and maintain a positive, tone during calls
- Experience coordinating tasks, resources, and schedules to ensure efficient workflow
- Experience using MS Office tools for reporting, data analysis, and workflow optimization
- Experience improving patient care and experience
- This is a patient-facing role and part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. We require TB screening upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Value-based care model experience
- Prior experience in a Medical Office Setting
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Experience with ERM Athena
