Sobre esta vaga de Mechanical Engineer na JBT Marel
JBT Marel is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Helsingborg, Sweden, where advanced industrial food processing equipment is designed, built, and tested under one roof. This is a hands-on engineering role where your designs don’t stay on a screen — they become real machines on the shop floor.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team of around 35 engineers, working closely with production, testing, and suppliers. If you enjoy customer-specific design, technical problem-solving, and taking ownership of your projects, this is an environment where you can grow and make a tangible impact.
What you will be doing
Lead mechanical design activities for both small and large customer projects
Design and adapt large-scale industrial machinery to customer requirements using 3D CAD
Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to engineering questions from customers and suppliers
Drive product improvements and contribute to R&D and innovation initiatives
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, testing, and supplier teams
Take ownership of project progress by proactively gathering information and coordinating internally
Support continuous improvement across mechanical design standards and solutions
You’ll bring:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2–3 years of experience in mechanical design (industrial machinery, sheet metal, or automation are an advantage)
Solid experience with 3D CAD (Creo and Windchill strongly preferred)
Experience working in a production- or project-oriented engineering environment
Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage
This role is based in Helsingborg, with easy access from Malmö, Lund, Landskrona, Ängelholm, and surrounding areas. If you are open to relocating, please note this in your application.
