We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Materials Controller to join our Manufacturing team based out of our Northgate QLD site.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Complete daily production reporting accurately and on time, ensuring end-to-end batch/lot traceability from materials received to finished product.
- Support production teams to record daily output and material use correctly, including coaching and practical troubleshooting when issues arise.
- Reconcile daily production, material consumption, and inventory movements so system records match what happened on the floor.
- Maintain accurate inventory records to reduce the risk of stock-outs and protect production continuity.
- Monitor and improve material issuing and transaction processes to keep inventory and reporting accurate over time.
- Produce daily/weekly variance reports, investigate significant variances, and clearly explain root causes and recommended actions to site leaders.
- Recommend and help implement bill of materials (BOM/recipe) updates to improve accuracy and reduce recurring variances.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities that strengthen reporting accuracy, material control, and traceability.
- Act as the point of contact for shop-floor reporting system issues that can’t be resolved by frontline leaders; support training for production users.
- Complete weekly cycle counts (including cold room and raw materials where required), track quarantined/isolated stock and returns, and manage nonconformance and write-off transactions with correct system adjustments.
About you:
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with production teams and stakeholders across the site.
- Advanced data analysis skills, using a range of tools and platforms to interpret operational and inventory data.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in production reporting, with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- High attention to detail and confidence working with data, reconciliations, and process compliance.
- Eligible to work in Australia – with full working rights.
