What You’ll Be Part Of

As a Business Material Analyst, you will be an individual contributor who plays a key role in ensuring material availability and supply continuity for our automotive customers. You will work closely with Supply Planning, Purchasing, Sales, Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to identify risks, solve material shortages, and support critical business decisions. Your analysis and coordination will help protect customer deliveries, optimize inventory, and minimize obsolescence risks across the product lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning data into actions and collaborating across functions to drive operational success.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Monitor material availability and shortage risks by analyzing short- and mid-term supply situations, helping ensure uninterrupted production and customer deliveries.
• Analyze demand and production plan changes to understand their impact on raw materials, semi-finished products, and inventory levels, enabling proactive risk management.
• Develop decision-support analyses during material shortages and coordinate recovery actions with Supply Planning, Purchasing, Sales, Program Management, and other stakeholders.
• Track inventory, customer demand, and material supply data to identify risks and opportunities that support business continuity and inventory optimization.
• Represent the operations organization in critical material review meetings with internal teams and external suppliers or customers, driving alignment and protecting business interests.
• Coordinate logistics activities for engineering or hardware changes by assessing inventory impact, shortage risks, and optimal implementation timing.
• Manage excess and obsolete inventory risks by leading analyses, defining corrective actions, and coordinating execution with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Planning teams.
• Monitor inventory management KPIs and drive improvement initiatives that support operational performance and working capital objectives.

What Makes You A Strong Fit

• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate material supply risks, inventory trends, and business impacts to support effective decision-making.
• Ability to interpret complex supply chain data and translate insights into clear actions for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with Planning, Purchasing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and external partners.
• Knowledge of inventory management and material planning principles to help balance customer demand, supply continuity, and inventory performance.
• Advanced Excel capability for data analysis, reporting, modeling, and decision support.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues simultaneously in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
• Adaptability and resilience when responding to changing customer demand, supply constraints, or engineering changes.
• AI fluency, including the ability to leverage AI-powered tools responsibly to improve productivity, decision making, and business outcomes.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Experience working with SAP ERP in planning, logistics, or supply chain processes.
• Experience with SAP IBP or other advanced planning systems.
• Knowledge of automotive supply chain operations and customer requirements.
• Experience supporting engineering change management or product transitions.
• Familiarity with VBA, Power BI, or other data automation tools.

• This role is based Pecs, Hungary and follows a hybrid schedule.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Eligibility to work in the country where the position is located.
• Availability to participate in meetings with global stakeholders across different time zones when required.
• Willingness to support critical supply chain situations and escalation activities when business needs arise
