Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect

Location: Mexico City (CDMX), Mexico

Role Overview

The Technical Architect – Marketing Cloud Next is an execution-focused technical leader responsible for architecting and delivering end-to-end migrations from legacy marketing platforms (Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, legacy SFMC) to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next. As a foundational member of the Strategic Migration CoE and Migration Factory, this role acts as the primary technical authority for the Marketing Cloud Next track — owning solution design, data architecture, subscriber migration strategy, journey migration blueprint, and Data Cloud unified profile design.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for migrations to Marketing Cloud Next and Salesforce Data Cloud (unified profiles, identity resolution, audience activation).
• Design the subscriber and consent migration strategy (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL), data extensions, and suppression lists.
• Build the journey migration blueprint and data lineage documentation.
• Facilitate discovery workshops, execute cutover, and validate deliverability (SPF/DKIM/DMARC).
• Contribute to Migration Factory playbooks and accelerators.

Must-Have Requirements

• Marketing Cloud Next (Email, Journey, Automation, Content, Mobile, Advertising Studio).
• Salesforce Data Cloud.
• Subscriber data architecture.
• Compliance and consent management.
• Email deliverability.
• Data migration methodology.
• Integration (Marketing Cloud Connect, REST/SOAP APIs).
• AMPscript / SSJS.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience migrating from Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or SFMC Classic.
• ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory).
• Interaction Studio.
• Additional channels: WhatsApp, LINE, Push, SMS.
• Snowflake / Databricks.
• Loyalty / Commerce Cloud.

Required Experience

10+ years in martech/Salesforce; 5+ years in Marketing Cloud with at least 2 completed end-to-end migrations; 3+ years in client-facing advisory/architecture roles; experience migrating 10M+ record databases without consent loss.

Certifications

Required: Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant. Preferred: Marketing Cloud Developer, Application Architect.
