Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics (P&SP) is looking for a SEA Market Development Manager with focus on transportation and consumer sectors.  With SEA getting more strategically important with it higher population, GDP growth rate and the world looking for supply chain diversification, we see great growth opportunity in the region, specifically on EV and renewable energy expansion and its serving as global manufacturing hub for many consumer products. The MDM shall be able to build close connection with local industry and closely follow market trend to identify opportunities where Dow may take a play with our proprietary offerings at a premium. The MDM shall cultivate such opportunities through engagement with relevant value chain partners and drive business impact realization.

Job Responsibilities:

• • Lead market development in responsible segment and sub-region and deliver short to medium business results through working with cross functional team.  (TS&D, Seller, MM)
  • Manage and prioritize project pipeline to maximize profit return meanwhile strategically fit with business growth
  • Deeply understand market trend to identify new growth opportunities, feed innovation ideas to MMTs to initiate new development projects and collaborate with x-functional team to substantiate the idea and drive execution of innovation projects
  •  Leverage successful stories across the region to have geography expansion at selected segments and regions
  • Work with MMT to develop new product positioning/pricing/promotion and conduct competitive intelligence analysis
  • Conduct market studies based on the business needs and propose marketing plan to MMT/Growth Project team
  • Value Chain integration by working with value chain team internally and brand owners/machinery suppliers externally to maximize business value

  • Sustainability Fundamentals: understand fundamental concept of various elements in sustainability and can direct discussion and dig insights
  • Leadership Effectiveness: Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, being able to manage projects and stakeholders effectively to achieve defined goals.

Qualifications:

• • >5 years sales, marketing, technical roles
  • Bachelor degree required, major in business, chemistry or chemical engineering
