Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to support highly automated manufacturing equipment within our lottery printing and packaging operation. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving industrial control systems and production equipment to ensure maximum uptime, product quality, and throughput.

The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical and controls troubleshooting skills with experience working on PLC-controlled machinery, variable frequency drives, servo systems, motion control applications, robotics, and production equipment. This position plays a critical role in supporting printing presses, packaging equipment, and other automated manufacturing systems in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and control systems to minimize production downtime.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving PLCs, HMIs, Drives, Servos, Motion Control Systems, Sensors, Robotics, and Networked Industrial Devices.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Support and maintain printing presses, packaging equipment, conveyors, material handling systems, and associated production machinery.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
  • Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical components and equipment operating at 480VAC and below.
  • Perform occasional conduit installation and electrical modifications as required for equipment upgrades and facility projects.
  • Assist with machine improvements, controls upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, safety, and throughput.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to support manufacturing objectives.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and detailed shift log entries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through proper housekeeping practices.
  • Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety standards.
  • Participate in equipment installations, startups, and commissioning activities.
  • Work overtime as required to support production and maintenance needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to industrial control systems and automated equipment.
  • Knowledge of:
    • PLC systems
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • Servo drives and motors
    • Motion control systems
    • Industrial robotics
    • Industrial networking and communication systems
  • Experience working with electrical systems operating at 480VAC and below.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience using electrical and electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following platforms is highly desirable:

  • Siemens PLCs
  • Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLCs
  • Mitsubishi PLCs
  • Omron PLCs
  • Beckhoff PLCs
  • BnR PLCs
  • Rexroth, Lenze, Siemens and BnR Drives

Schedule

This position works a rotating 12-hour day shift (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) 3 day / 4 day a week rotation utilizing a two-team schedule designed to provide extended time off while maintaining production coverage.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

If your position requires you to work in the field, production, and/or warehouse, it is mandatory that you use the approved Personal Protective Equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work around industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to distinguish wire colors and perform detailed electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with moving machinery and varying noise levels.
