Work Location: Gurugram with a minimum of 3 days per week work from office
Shift Timing: 3:30 PM IST to 12:30 AM IST
Job Summary:
The Manager, Sales Operations will lead the Sales Operations team in Gurugram and will support global sales operations functions. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end sales operations workflow, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies, and managing team members. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic leader and self-starter with a strong background in sales operations, CRM systems, and contract management. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a focus on continuous improvement, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Business Development, Finance, and other global teams. The Manager, Sales Operations is responsible for building a high-performing team that embodies the philosophies of our Company culture.
Key Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- General
- Oversee the day-to-day sales operations process, including Quote configuration, subscription setup, account and opportunity management, and invoicing support within Salesforce.
- Directly manage and develop the Sales Operations Associates, setting clear performance objectives, conducting regular reviews, and providing ongoing coaching.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of Quote configurations, contracts and opportunity updates in Salesforce.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for inbound requests from account managers and business development professionals regarding contracts, renewals, and invoicing.
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records to support Accounting's review of strategic projects, including delivery evidence and internal approvals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Legal, and Business Development to resolve operational issues and deliver exceptional service to internal stakeholders.
- Controls & Compliance
- Support compliance with key internal controls related to the sales operations process and owned systems.
- Continuously evaluate internal controls in light of changing systems and processes, and work with leadership to identify and implement necessary control changes.
- Ensure team adherence to GLG's compliance framework and ethical standards in all client and internal interactions.
- Process Improvement
- Identify and drive improvement opportunities across the sales operations workflow, with a focus on simplification, standardization, and optimization — especially reducing manual, Excel-based activities.
- Lead and support change management initiatives in collaboration with CRM and other key stakeholders related to system transitions.
- Champion the adoption of best practices in Salesforce usage and data hygiene across the team.
- Assist in the implementation of ongoing process improvement initiatives and represent Sales Operations in cross-functional projects.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and deliver regular operational reports and dashboards in Sales Force to track and manage day to day performance of the sales operations team.
- Support data integrity reviews and provide operational insights that inform business decisions.
- Other
- Collaborate with inter- and intra-departmental teams where required and appropriate.
- Strengthen and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including Business Development and Finance partners.
- Prepare reports and analyses and participate in other projects as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; 6+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a people management or team lead capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong experience with Salesforce CRM, including contract management, account management, and opportunity tracking; Salesforce Administrator certification is a plus.
- Experience working in a global organization or global capability center preferred.
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Customer-service oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective cross-functional working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of billing and invoicing workflows, and experience partnering with Finance or Accounting teams, is strongly preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
