Job Tile: Manager, Renewals Sales Support
Base location: Remote UK
Candidates must be willing to travel to Reading site, as this role demands visiting the Reading site twice a month.
Position Summary:
This role is a hybrid role with 70% of time spent on global renewals support and 30% managing direct reports. You will perform the Sales Ops and Deal Desk roles (Quote approvals, Opp assignments, SFDC Requests, etc.) in support of the global renewals team. Participate in integration projects, Training and sales enablement. You will lead and coach Direct Reports, with ambition and determination, ensuring customer relationships remain strong and fruitful, while encouraging the use of industry-wide best practices. You will be an integral part of a team, driving world-class renewals processes and setting the standard for excellence in customer success, while guiding the team to on-time renewals, retention goal achievement and overall growth, both individual and revenue.
In this position, a Manager Renewal Sales Support will have direct input to annual and quarterly planning, team development and other administration and growth decisions while managing direct reports.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify, champion, and execute strategic business and process improvements to optimize operational efficiency.
- Lead & Inspire Teams: Provide strong leadership and active people management to high-performing support teams, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Ensure Governance & Compliance: Oversee and approve compliance frameworks, ensuring all existing policies and procedures align with regulatory standards.
- Manage quarterly and annual maintenance and subscription renewal quota targets.
- Ensure the integrity of customer and renewal information in SFDC
- Assist with enhancing and improving systems and processes to increase efficiency and assistance in current and future migration and integration activity, to include training if new hires and on new
- Running and creating reports necessary to Manage and drive business improvement such lost customer, new opportunity assignments and hygiene (name changes, Renewal Rep reassignments, etc.)
- Leading and mentoring a team in a Hybrid work environment
- Reviewing and approval of quotes and structure of business deals to meet current finance guidance
- Participates in the implementation of divisional and company initiatives and strategies.
- Participates in the development of area strategic plans, goals, and objectives ensuring alignment with those of the region, division, and company.
- Provides informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback in the annual performance evaluation process to identify and develop talent.
- Ensures and promotes the development of the area management team/succession planning through coaching, training, and leadership development.
- Support and liaison with Legal, Deal Desk and others to provide and update information on quotes and approvals
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional business and process improvement initiatives.
- Leadership Excellence: Strong leadership skills with a history of successfully managing, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Technical Expertise:
- Salesforce proficiency is essential for this role.
- Oracle experience is highly advantageous (nice to have).
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent amount of experience
- 8+ years in the Renewals business
- Experience in a Team Lead / Mentoring role
- Persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with SFDC
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Staffing, planning and people management
- Promoting process improvement
- Minimum 12 months experience in related field
- Advanced supervisory experience
- Demonstrable business improvement experience
