What is the opportunity?
Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments and treasury services. Our client has a processing centre of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones employing a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of their global operations, improve service quality via their ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standardised processes globally.
What will you do?
Head Office Reporting for WM Asia
- Responsible for preparation and submission of head office reports and management information
- Responsible for handling ad hoc reporting requests from head office and regional stakeholders
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of financial data flows for head office reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit trails for all head office reporting submissions
- Support the head office reporting calendar and deadlines
- Conduct variance analysis and provide supporting documentation and explanations to head office
- Escalate reporting exceptions and significant variances on a timely basis
Financial Regulatory
- Responsible for preparation, review and submission of regulatory returns to MAS
- Responsible for preparation and review of surveys and queries from regulatory authorities
- Adhere to all regulatory reporting calendar and deadlines
- Support external and internal audit in regulatory reporting and financial control, definition for the project and guiding the team to ensure the project deliverables are met
Projects
- Responsible for project initiatives that are driven by Finance or Business and require Finance engagement, including subject matter expertise, definition for the project and guiding the team to ensure the project deliverables are met
- Responsible for current project enhancements related to new HO and regulatory requirements or business initiatives, including performing UAT testing.
- Conduct financial data analysis and testing and process improvements.
- Responsible for system changes in relation to defects and change requests for Singapore.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor degree or higher; Professional Financial Accreditation (CFA, CA/CPA etc.)
- 8+ years of experience in banking/financial industry, preferably with an understanding of Wealth Management products and drivers
- Experience with regulatory reporting
- Functional knowledge / experience of Finance processes and controls.
- Experience in delivering process improvements across Finance.· Knowledge of accounting policies / standards
- Advanced MS-Office skills i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge / experience with macros is an asset
- Avaloq (Private Banking System tool) and RBC finance systems expertise would be an advantage
