YOUR MISSION

• Responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of PUMA Apparel and Accessories testing standards, methods, protocols, guidelines, and laboratory management systems. The role is also responsible for managing and enhancing physical testing laboratory capabilities across Tier 1 suppliers and Tier 2 suppliers.
• As a technical expert in product testing and laboratory management, this position ensures that Apparel and Accessories products meet PUMA quality expectations, regulatory requirements, and performance standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, supplier laboratories and 3rd party laboratories, the role drives testing excellence, standardization, compliance, capability development, and continuous improvement throughout the PUMA supply chain
• Test Methods, Standards and Protocol Development: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve PUMA Apparel and Accessories test methods, testing standards, and product performance requirements. Create and update testing protocols, guidelines, manuals, SOPs, and laboratory procedures. Collaborate closely with the PUMA Product Compliance team to monitor regulatory developments impacting Apparel and Accessories products and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and PUMA internal testing requirements. Review and benchmark internal standards and methods against industry and propose updates to PUMA testing requirements. Conduct test trials and validation studies to establish new testing methodologies where required. Launch correlation exercises and drive projects aimed at improving test results accuracy and testing reliability. Ensure testing protocols remain aligned with changing product technologies and consumer expectations
• Laboratory Capability Management: Work closely with Tier 1 and nominated Tier 2 supplier laboratories to ensure testing competency. Support laboratory accreditation readiness and continuous capability development. Evaluate testing equipment selection, maintenance, calibration, and validation programs. Develop and continuously improve laboratory competency assessment tools, KPI’s and monitoring systems. Identify capability gaps and drive supplier laboratory improvement plans
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Participate in Innovation, Material, Product Development, Technical and Quality Assurance key milestone meetings and improvement projects. Provide technical expertise during root cause investigations and product performance evaluations. Collaborate with Materials, Product Development and Quality Assurance to address testing-related challenges
• Training and Technical Support: Develop and deliver training programs on testing methodologies, standards, protocols, and laboratory best practices. Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding testing requirements and performance expectations. Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning throughout the laboratory network

YOUR TALENT

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in Apparel & Accessories product testing and laboratory management.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with Power BI reporting is preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
• Strong conceptual thinking and learning agility, with an open-minded approach and strong interpersonal skills.
• Passionate, patient, and collaborative, with a strong team spirit.
