If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role:

Join our team as the Manager of Power Distribution Programs and take ownership of the project management function for our entire Switchboards & Switchgear sector — low voltage, medium voltage, skid integration, and custom switchboard assemblies. You will own portfolio delivery performance, margin, and the development of the project management team beneath you.

Power Distribution is the highest-volume manufacturing sector in the business and the one under the most acute growth pressure. Hyperscale demand for switchgear and PDC-mounted distribution is outrunning conventional lead times, and the sector is simultaneously expanding into medium voltage. This role must deliver current commitments while building the management structure to absorb what is coming.

This is a working leadership role. You'll manage project managers, own the portfolio, and personally carry the most sensitive customer programs. Your work directly impacts our ability to energize compute from sustainable, renewable and/or stranded energy sources.

We are seeking an experienced people leader with a proven background in electrical equipment or comparable ETO manufacturing, a strategic mindset, and the operational discipline to scale through rapid growth. This is a full-time position. (#INDMFG)

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Power Distribution Portfolio Ownership: Own the consolidated schedule across LV switchboard, MV switchgear, MV PDC, and skid integration programs.

  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and develop a team of project managers, setting the standard for schedule discipline, submittal management, change capture, cost accuracy, and customer communication.

  • Customer and Stakeholder Management: Serve as senior escalation for Power Distribution customers, including executive-level schedule impact, change negotiation, and recovery planning.

  • Capacity and Production Planning: Partner with plant leadership on capacity and line loading across switchboard and switchgear assembly areas; drive resolution of throughput constraints.

  • Program Economics and Target Accountability: Set the margin and cost targets for each Power Distribution program at baseline, and own delivery against them through close-out. Partner with Project Controls in a standing monthly economics review where you jointly validate the cost-to-complete position — Project Controls owns the model, you own the operational assumptions inside it: labor hours remaining, change order capture, submittal and schedule position, and long-lead material exposure. Sign the forecast you submit. When a program drifts off target, bring the variance, the root cause, and a recovery plan to the same review rather than waiting for it to surface in the roll-up.

  • Submittal Performance Governance: Govern submittal and drawing approval performance sector-wide. This is the dominant schedule risk in electrical equipment and must be managed as a tracked metric, not an anecdote.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply Chain leadership on long-lead component strategy for breakers, bus, transformers, and MV components across the full order book. Support Sales and Estimating on pursuit strategy, lead time commitments, and manufacturability review before award.

  • Process Improvement: Drive standardization of schedule templates, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), test documentation, and close-out packages across product lines.

  • Executive Reporting and Dashboard Ownership: Own the Power Distribution executive dashboard — throughput, on-time delivery, backlog, and margin across LV switchboard, MV switchgear, MV PDC, and skid integration. Your project managers complete the project-level inputs; you own the dashboard’s accuracy, its cadence, and the story it tells to leadership. Represent Power Distribution in PMO governance including stage gates and post-mortem review.

  • Schedule Quality Assurance: Perform logic checks, float analysis, critical path validation, and baseline change control on program schedules — audit and correct, not merely report.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Industry Experience — Electrical Equipment Manufacturing: Deep technical knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution equipment, including applicable listing and testing standards.

  • Project Management Experience: Minimum of 8+ years managing projects within the electrical equipment, construction, engineering and/or manufacturing industry.

  • People Leadership: 3+ years of direct leadership of project managers or technical professionals, with a track record of developing them.

  • Engineering & Constructability Competency: Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment layouts, and to lead a team that challenges designs on buildability. We are looking for a leader who can give our engineering group productive, risk-based feedback from a “we have to build this” perspective before release.

  • Bachelor of Science: BS in Business, Engineering, Construction Management. Closely related fields will be considered.

  • Portfolio Accountability: Demonstrated ownership of a multi-program manufacturing portfolio with accountability for on-time delivery and margin.

  • Complex Change Leadership & Process Ownership: Proven experience serving hyperscale, utility, or mission-critical customers with rigorous documentation and change requirements.

  • Capacity Planning: Strong command of manufacturing capacity planning and ERP-based production management.

  • Schedule Development & Management: Proficient with programs such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Monday.com or Primavera P6.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Experience with manufacturing ERP systems like SAP or Visual; experience with Acumatica is preferred.

  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience scaling an electrical equipment manufacturing operation through significant volume growth.

  • Direct experience with UL 891, UL 1558, and ANSI C37.20 series equipment.

  • Experience introducing medium-voltage manufacturing capability into an existing facility.

  • Data Center Construction Experience.

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages

  • Restricted Stock Units

  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs

  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance

  • Employer contributions to HSA account

  • Paid parental leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability

  • Professional development & tuition reimbursement

  • Mental health & wellness support

  • Commuter benefits (parking & transit)

  • Cell phone stipend

  • 401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary

  • Volunteer time off

  • Global travel insurance & emergency assistance

  • Daily meals allowance

  • Additional perks & programs specific to location

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $140,000 -$160,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. (#INDMFG)
