The Materials Manager operates as a business and operational leader, balancing strategic priorities with daily factory execution. The role is responsible for establishing sustainable processes, driving operational discipline, developing organizational capability, and using data and business insight to proactively identify risks, resolve performance gaps, and improve Materials performance.
The position requires a seasoned, highly analytical, results-driven leader with strong business acumen, SAP proficiency, operational judgment, and the ability to influence across multiple functions and organizational levels.
This position works onsite at either our Jacksonville FL.

What You Will Do
- Lead and advance the Material Planning and Production Control organization, establishing disciplined processes, clear accountability, and strong execution in support of production and customer requirements
- Drive daily MRP, material planning, and production control activities to maintain material stability, proactively identify shortages and constraints, and ensure material readiness for production execution
- Strengthen planning discipline through effective management of SAP/ERP/MRP data, planning parameters, material master data, and inventory transactions
- Establish and monitor key Materials performance indicators, using data-driven analysis to identify trends, root causes, risks, and opportunities for improved execution
- Develop and execute inventory strategies that optimize material availability, inventory turns, working capital, and excess and obsolete inventory
- Partner closely with Operations, Procurement, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align material priorities, resolve constraints, and improve material flow and on-time delivery
- Lead, coach, and develop Production Controllers to strengthen analytical capability, planning discipline, problem solving, ownership, and overall Production Control maturity
- Provide leadership oversight of Warehouse and Logistics operations, including receiving, material movement, inventory control, staging, shipping, and transportation, to ensure safe, accurate, and timely execution
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs to enhance the team's skills in planning, analytics, and systems (ERP/MRP)
- Serve as the site Materials point of contact for Government Property, including inventory accountability, audit readiness, compliance, and corrective actions
- Lead CORE, system implementations, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen Materials, Production Control, Warehouse, and Logistics performance
- Provide visible leadership across the factory and warehouse through Tier/Startup meetings, Gemba walks, operating reviews, and direct engagement with Operations and cross-functional partners
- Maintain effective communication with senior leadership regarding Materials and Logistics performance, risks, recovery plans, resource requirements, and issues requiring leadership awareness or intervention
- Lead business readiness and adoption for major system and application changes, including process alignment, standardization, testing, implementation, and transition to new ways of working
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience in MRP functionality and experience with major ERP systems (ie: SAP, Prism, etc.).
- Experience in data analysis tools, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools and techniques
- Experience in SIOP processes and methodologies
Qualifications We Prefer
- ACSM CPIM certification (Association for Supply Chain Management - Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) is highly preferred
- Current Active Secret Clearance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization
- Adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to continuous process improvement in a rapidly growing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data driven approach to decision-making

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
