Position Overview

The Manager, License Compliance, leads efforts to protect Autodesk’s intellectual property by ensuring customers operate within licensing agreements. This role spans strategic planning, audit execution, customer engagement, and cross-functional orchestration. Managers at all levels drive resolution of non-compliance, influence go-to-market strategy and align compliance actions with revenue growth objectives. 

Responsibilities 

• Oversee telemetry analysis, audit preparation, and resolution workflows. Ensure timely and accurate handling of compliance cases across customer segments. Monitor pipeline health and maintain data integrity across systems

• Lead customer communications from operational to executive levels. Deliver complex compliance findings and negotiate resolutions. Tailor messaging stakeholder needs and licensing complexity

• Coach and develop compliance teams across geographies and levels. Build onboarding, training, and succession plans. Foster a culture of accountability, trust, and continuous improvement

• Allocate resources based on strategic priorities and team capacity. Manage staffing plans and coordinate cross-functional support. Ensure readiness for high-value engagements and escalations

• Own compliance-driven revenue forecasting across teams and regions. Integrate compliance forecasts into GTM and financial planning. Identify risks and opportunities to inform strategic decisions

• Uses telemetry and audit data to inform decisions. Anticipates challenges and mitigates revenue risks. Interprets financial data to guide strategy and resource allocation

• Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to align compliance actions with account strategy

• Engage with legal, marketing, and operations to ensure consistent messaging and resolution planning. Coordinate with GTM Strategy & Operations to lead cross-functional initiatives to embed compliance insights into broader go-to-market motions

• Influence global teams to integrate compliance into strategic account planning and execution

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing
