Job Description:

This is a broad, hands-on regional role for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference to colleagues. Reporting to the Director, Retirement, Benefits and Wellbeing, Europe and Asia Pacific, the Manager contributes to the development and delivery of the regional strategy and leads an assigned portfolio of retirement, benefits and wellbeing priorities.

The successful candidate will be proactive, anticipate needs, take ownership and turn ambiguity into action. They will be passionate about improving the colleague experience and wellbeing advancing an inclusive, practical and evidence-informed wellbeing strategy. Using sound judgement, they will build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and drive priorities to successful outcomes, while recognising when to seek input and escalate risks. They will also actively explore and responsibly leverage approved AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, enhance insights and create capacity for higher-value work.

Key responsibilities

Regional Strategy and Program Delivery

• Contribute to the design, implementation and ongoing management of retirement, benefits and wellbeing programs across Europe and Asia Pacific (circa 2,000 employees across 10 countries).
• Lead program reviews, market assessments, renewals and business cases, balancing colleague value, competitiveness, cost, risk and operational feasibility.
• Translate strategic priorities into implementation plans, governance checkpoints and measurable outcomes.
• Support expansion into new locations by developing scalable and compliant benefit solutions aligned to local requirements and market practice.
• Drive an integrated wellbeing approach that connects business and employee needs.

Risk, Governance and Compliance

• Monitor legislative, regulatory and market developments and assess implications for assigned programs.
• Maintain effective governance, controls, procedures and supporting evidence in line with TD policies, standards and risk appetite.
• Lead or support audits, remediation activities, regulatory change implementation, risk reporting and issue management, ensuring risks are identified and escalated promptly.

Vendor and Financial Management

• Manage relationships with consultants, brokers, insurers, pension providers, administrators and wellbeing partners, ensuring strong service delivery and value.
• Support sourcing, due diligence, contracting, renewals, service reviews and remediation in partnership with Procurement, Legal and Risk teams.
• Monitor service performance, budgets and program costs, identifying opportunities to improve value, sustainability and colleague outcomes.

Operational Excellence, Data and AI

• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate processes, leveraging data, technology and approved AI tools to strengthen efficiency, insight and control.
• Develop meaningful reporting, to support decision-making, governance and continuous improvement.
• Leverage technology to create engaging, accessible and user-friendly program experiences.

Leadership and Influence

• Build strong relationships across regional and global teams, acting as a trusted adviser who brings balanced judgement and practical solutions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and working groups, establishing clear outcomes, accountability and delivery.
• Champion a people-centred approach to benefits and wellbeing, translating colleague needs into inclusive, practical solutions, and represent the region in relevant forums while deputising for the Director as required.

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience managing retirement, pensions, employee benefits and/or wellbeing programs across multiple countries.
• Proven experience leading complex program design, implementation, renewal or transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, controls, compliance and third-party oversight within a regulated environment.
• Experience managing vendors and advisors, including performance management, commercial discussions and issue resolution.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Confidence using data, technology and AI-enabled tools to improve outcomes
• Relevant professional qualification in pensions, benefits, reward, HR, risk, finance or project management is desirable.
