Management Accountant

We're looking for a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team at Mattioli Woods.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of management reporting and financial control across allocated revenue streams and legal entities. You'll play a key role in ensuring reporting is accurate, well-controlled, and delivered on time within a growing, multi-entity financial services business.

What you'll be doing

• preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting for allocated entities and revenue streams

• producing variance analysis and insightful commentary to explain financial performance

• leading month-end close activities, including journals, adjustments and reporting reviews

• maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations and resolving reconciling items promptly

• acting as the key finance contact for reporting matters within assigned areas

• maintaining revenue reporting schedules and ensuring income is recognised in accordance with Group accounting policies

• supporting statutory reporting requirements, audit processes and finance-led projects

• identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and documentation standards

What we're looking for

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
• experience in management accounting, financial reporting or financial control within a multi-entity environment
• strong understanding of P&L reporting, balance sheet control and month-end processes
• experience producing management accounts, reconciliations and variance analysis
• excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
• experience within financial services, wealth management or another regulated sector would be advantageous
• exposure to financial reporting systems, ERP platforms or revenue-led businesses would be beneficial
