OVERVIEW
The Logistics Specialist supports the execution of regional inbound and outbound logistics operations. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day shipment activities, monitoring vendor, carrier and 3PL performance, ensuring compliance with import/export requirements, and supporting efficient, cost-effective logistics operations across the APAC region. The Logistics Specialist works closely with internal stakeholders, logistics service providers, and the ALO global logistics teams to ensure smooth product movement throughout the supply chain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate daily import and export shipments across APAC, from factories to assigned ALO destinations
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery delays or transportation issues.
- Leverage Business Analytical tool to monitor carrier and logistics service provider performance against service requirements.
- Prepare regular logistics reports and shipment performance updates.
- Work closely with Planning, Operations, Distribution, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth product flow.
- Assist with freight invoice verification and support logistics cost control activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, service levels, and operational efficiency.
- Support logistics projects and other tasks assigned by the Logistics Manager or Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight operations.
- Basic understanding of import/export processes and shipping documentation, knowledge in China, Korea or Australia inbound is a plus
- Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, or 3PL providers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiar with Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, Thoughtspot or any business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge on ERP, TMS, or other logistics systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Cantonese and English required; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Experience in retail, apparel, consumer goods, or related industries is preferred.
