Job Posting: Logistics Coordinator - Inbound
Availability: Full-time with the ability to work mornings, afternoons, overnights, holidays, and occasional weekends

Reporting to the Inbound Lead, this role ensures that inbound, export, and community donations' logistical requirements are met while optimizing costs and ensuring service expectations. This role requires a self-driven individual with strong communication and organizational skills who can deliver high-level service through proactive communication.
The ideal candidate will understand business-critical functions and priorities. They will confidently communicate timelines and delivery expectations across inbound, exports, and donation streams. They will drive operational excellence, identify process improvements, and ensure quality, compliance, and value across all National & International activities.

What you do (responsibilities):
- Manage the transportation portfolio by ensuring financial and operational performance is in line with
company objectives - Coordinate transportation activities between operations and the vendor
- Confirm transportation services are executed according to contract standards
- Monitor service provider performance and level set expectations to meet customer requirements
- Partner with junior coordinators to improve service and operations, and resolve transportation issues
related issues - Identify and recommend transportation improvements to customers and stakeholders by
proactively analyzing transportation performance results against benchmarks - Cultivate strategic partnerships with transportation service providers
- Participate in contract negotiations and the new carrier selection process to improve service
performance - Execute and implement assigned projects and initiatives
- Represent the ethics and culture of the Lush brand
Administrative & Other Functions: - Process and audit transportation invoices to confirm accurate billing
- Establish transportation SOPs to ensure shipments are compliant with transportation regulations
- Provide meaningful commentary to customers and stakeholders relating to transportation results
- Maintain and update the inbound transportation file daily
- Book delivery appointments
- Ensure the invoices are correct and sent in a timely manner
- Forecast service and capacity requirements to ensure transportation providers can execute freight volumes
- Attend carrier meetings, seminars, and other transportation- or cost-related meetings when required, and provide relevant shipment information and operational feedback
- Inform internal stakeholders of the world news related to all modes of shipping
- Cover for Junior Logistics Coordinator during vacation
Key Results: - Work collaboratively with other areas of the business
- Proactively identifies solutions to potential problems to guarantee that service level agreements are achieved
- Responsible for hitting key performance indicators (KPI), including on-time delivery scores and freight spend
- Obtain spot quotes for special shipments when required
Who you are (qualifications):
Required:
- LUSH distribution experience required
- Has held their current role successfully for one year
- At least one year of direct experience working in the supply chain
- At least one year of direct experience in freight/transportation
- Strong understanding of transportation metrics and how they can support supply chain objectives
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive and resourceful when dealing with issues and challenges
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with others at all levels within the organization
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and dynamic environment
- Proactive in research and self-development to provide best-in-class knowledge with industry standards and trends
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-directed and driven to achieve desired results
- Service-oriented with keen attention to detail and diligent in follow-up
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
Preferred:
- College diploma or University degree in Business, Logistics, and/or Supply Chain
- Knowledgeable in transportation laws and regulations
- Experience with all modes of transportation
- Proficient in project management, vendor evaluations, and process improvement
- Experience with ERP/TMS/WMS
