About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Local Sales & Community Coordinator to maintain and expand our presence across Broome and the wider Kimberley region.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local tourism operators, agents, community organisations and key stakeholders to drive sales, strengthen partnerships and enhance our brand presence.

This is a diverse role that combines business development, account management, community engagement and operational support. You’ll spend time both in the office and out in the community, building relationships that contribute to the ongoing success of our business.

A key aspect of the role is supporting and coordinating the involvement of Dambeemangaddee Tour Guides within our operation, helping us deliver meaningful cultural experiences to our guests while strengthening connections with Traditional Owners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain relationships with local tourism operators, agents and industry partners
• Identify and pursue new sales and business development opportunities
• Promote Horizontal Falls products and experiences throughout the Broome and Kimberley region
• Coordinate local marketing initiatives, promotions and industry events
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities
• Support tourism trade partnerships, drive cruise ship relationships along with aviation charter opportunities
• Coordinate familiarisation visits, VIP experiences and stakeholder engagement activities
• Assist with guest communications, operational disruptions and complaint resolution when required

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and creating opportunities through meaningful connections. You’ll be a confident communicator who can engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including tourism operators, community organisations, Traditional Owners and industry partners. The ability to maintain strong local networks and foster positive partnerships will be key to your success in this role.

You are proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused, with a passion for tourism and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Ideally, you’ll bring experience in tourism, sales, hospitality, business development or a similar customer-focused industry. A qualification in Tourism or a related discipline is desirable. You’ll be a collaborative team player who takes pride in supporting the local community, embracing new challenges and contributing to the ongoing success of our operations in the Kimberley region. You’ll have a positive attitude and a strong attention to detail.

This is a full-time permanent position based in Broome. This position may require weekend and public holiday work in line with operational requirements. Applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment checks, which may include drug and alcohol testing.
