ABOUT THE COMPANY:

The company is currently expanding its residential lending operations and is seeking a highly organized Loan Processor & Assistant to support the Principal Broker by managing loan files, lender submissions, and administrative processes. As the business grows, the role is expected to expand into SMSF lending support, offering long-term career growth opportunities.

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Loan Processor & Assistant with a strong background in the Australian mortgage industry to manage residential loan applications from handover through settlement. This role requires someone who can independently manage loan files, coordinate with clients and lenders, and ensure applications progress efficiently. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience using Connective, Nexus Mercury, and Apply Online (AOL) and possess a thorough understanding of the Australian residential mortgage process. Over time, the role may also expand to support SMSF lending activities.

The broker handles all initial client engagement and strategy. The role focuses primarily on back-end administration and loan processing, allowing the broker to dedicate more time to client relationships and developing new lending opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Residential Loan Processing (Primary Focus)

• Manage residential loan applications from handover through to settlement.
• Collect, review, organize, and upload client documentation accurately and on time.
• Prepare and submit loan applications using Apply Online (AOL).
• Monitor application progress and proactively follow up on outstanding lender conditions.
• Communicate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and keep files progressing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in Nexus Mercury and Connective.

SMSF Lending Support (Future Scope)

• Assist with SMSF loan processing and documentation once residential workflows are established.
• Support client re-engagement initiatives for existing SMSF clients.

Administration & Business Support

• File and organize client and company data within Nexus using email records.
• Assist with refinance outreach campaigns.
• Help reactivate dormant referral partner relationships.
• Provide general administrative support to reduce the Principal Broker's workload.
• Perform other ad hoc administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience processing Australian residential mortgage loans from application through settlement.
• Hands-on experience using Connective.
• Hands-on experience using Nexus Mercury.
• Hands-on experience using Apply Online (AOL).
• Strong understanding of the Australian residential mortgage lending process.
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple loan files.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues, follow up on missing documentation, and escalate blockers promptly.

PREFERRED SKILLS (nice to have):

• Experience processing SMSF (Self-Managed Super Fund) loans.
• Previous experience working directly with an Australian mortgage broker.
• Familiarity with Australian lending policies and lender requirements.
• Experience running refinance campaigns and client re-engagement initiatives.
• Strong CRM and loan management system experience.
• Ability to streamline administrative workflows and improve process efficiency.
• Highly reliable, self-motivated, and confident in taking ownership of files from start to finish.
