Summary of Role
We are seeking a professional and safety-conscious LGV Driver to join our Transport team at our Mallusk Cross Dock Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient delivery of products to customers, maintaining exceptional service standards while ensuring compliance with all transport, safety and regulatory requirements. This role is key to supporting customer satisfaction and operational excellence across our distribution network.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products and associated documentation accurately and on time.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
• Report vehicle faults, breakdowns, accidents, delays, or incidents promptly.
• Comply with all driving legislation, tachograph regulations, and required rest periods.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed and proof of delivery documentation is accurate.
• Collect customer returns as instructed by the transport team.
• Maintain the cleanliness, security, and condition of the vehicle at all times.
• Build positive customer relationships and maintain effective communication with transport colleagues.

Skills and Knowledge

• Valid LGV driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
• Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Intermediate numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.

Desirable

• Previous multi-drop delivery driving experience.
• Route planning experience.
• Experience working within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements.
• Experience dealing directly with customers.
• Familiarity with electronic proof of delivery systems.
• Experience completing vehicle inspection records.
• Understanding of transport compliance procedures.
