The Role
Peregrine builds software that helps public safety agencies make faster, smarter decisions with their data. Our platform brings together complex data systems, empowering organizations to do their best work. We're growing quickly and expanding into new industries and geographies. To support that growth, we're looking for a Leadership Sourcer who can help us identify and engage exceptional executive and senior leadership talent across the company.
We're looking for someone who knows how to map markets, build target-company ecosystems, and engage senior leaders, the kind of people shaping strategy and building high-performing teams at the top companies in our space and beyond. You'll partner closely with recruiting leadership, hiring executives, and senior leadership to bring exceptional leadership talent into Peregrine.
Responsibilities
- Partner with recruiting leadership and hiring executives to translate leadership hiring needs into clear search strategies and candidate profiles.
- Lead research and market-mapping for each search, building a comprehensive view of the relevant leadership talent landscape.
- Build target-company ecosystems, identifying companies based on stage, scale, business model, growth trajectory, and organizational maturity.
- Map leadership teams and organizational structures within target companies to identify who owns the relevant scope, as well as high-potential leaders operating one level below.
- Identify non-obvious and adjacent talent pools rather than relying solely on obvious competitors, titles, or previously known candidates.
- Proactively source and engage passive leadership candidates through thoughtful, highly personalized outreach and relationship building.
- Conduct intake conversations that assess leadership trajectory, scope, impact, and motivations.
- Translate research into actionable market insights: talent availability, organizational structures, and candidate patterns for recruiters and hiring executives.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date pipelines and candidate activity within our applicant tracking system and recruiting tools.
- Maintain a high bar for candidate experience and discretion, particularly for confidential or highly sensitive searches.
What we look for
- 5+ years of experience sourcing senior or executive-level talent in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Exceptional research and market-mapping capabilities, with experience building leadership talent markets from scratch.
- Naturally curious and creative in your sourcing approach; constantly exploring new ways to uncover and engage top leadership talent beyond traditional channels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect authentically with senior leaders and represent Peregrine's mission, team, and culture.
- Ability to research organizational structures and identify the actual scope and reporting relationships of executives and senior leaders (not simply searching by title).
- Comfortable working with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools to manage pipelines, track candidate activity, and maintain organized hiring workflows.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential searches and sensitive organizational information.
