As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and optimization of components across our gas power portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to deliver high-quality solutions, drive product upgrades, and ensure our designs meet rigorous performance and safety standards. This role requires a balance of technical ownership, innovative problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsibility for a given structural gas turbine component in mechanical terms, mechanical design, model and drawing definitions, production of parts, solving problems of new units, adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
• Participation in the continuous improvement of design structural parts as well as the design process.

• Leveraging knowledge of technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to recommend and execute, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and NPIs programs requirements
• Ensuring proper documentation of technical data generated to substantiate analyzed components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
• Participation as a presenter in technical program reviews.
• Implementing plans to achieve technical requirements, prepare schedules, coordinate teams providing sub-analyses.

• Planning the scope of activities in the assigned area, monitoring and effectively communicating projects status, issues and significant developments.

• Using multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

• Understanding the impact of the work performed on the company's goals.

 

Required Qualifications

• This role requires min 3 Y experience in the Engineering/Technology & GT Mechanical Component
• Proven technical and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• MSc in Engineering
• Experience with commercial CAD/CAE package required (ANSYS, NX)
• General knowledge of the GT engine architecture is required
• Must be independent engineer that executes with minimum guidance
• Fluent level of written and spoken English language
