Job Summary
Manages and constructs investment portfolios in accordance with client investment goals and objectives. Advises clients on appropriate strategies and constructs and customizes portfolios according to client needs or preferences. Maintains a high level of collaboration with relationship team to provide effective strategies, solutions and optimal levels of service that exceeds client expectations. Position is expected to offer the complete breadth and depth of the Wealth segment suite of capabilities. This position collaborates and performs as part of the relationship management team to assure that the Wealth segment goals are met by executing the client strategy.

Essential Functions

• Manage large, complex discretionary investment portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth clients within a fiduciary framework.
• Evaluate client goals and risk tolerance, contribute to relationship strategy, and design customized portfolios consistent with investment policy statements and Wealth Segment investment guidance.
• Implement and manage asset allocation strategies using an open architecture platform; execute transactions and investment programs aligned with client objectives.
• Monitor portfolio performance, assess results, and recommend adjustments based on market conditions and client needs.
• Maintain deep expertise in financial markets and investment strategies; participate in or contribute to investment committees as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and fiduciary standards.
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers and other Wealth Segment advisors in client reviews, strategy discussions, and ongoing relationship management.
• Confer with clients and their internal and external advisors to coordinate overall investment strategy and asset allocation.
• Communicate timely and material client developments to the Relationship Manager.
• Articulate the value proposition and competitive advantages of the Key Family Wealth platform and introduce clients to the broader Wealth Segment capabilities.
• Meet or exceed individual growth objectives through relationship expansion, referrals, and new business development; engage with prospective clients and centers of influence as part of the relationship team.
• May advise investment management and trust client relationships.
• Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
• Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in related field. (preferred) OR equivalent experience (required)

Work Experience

• 10 years of experience in the investment management field. (required)

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong client focus.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work as part of a sales and client servicing team.
• Experience and proven success in an open architecture environment.
• Demonstrated track record of sales success.
• Experience managing an ultra-high-net-worth book of business.
• Ability to use office equipment, Trust accounting system, and portfolio management system.

Physical Demands

• General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

Travel

• Occasional travel to include overnight stay.

Driving Requirements

• Ability to occasionally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
