Sobre esta vaga de Junior Manufacturing Test Engineer na Picklerobot
About Us
At Pickle Robot, we're on a mission to automate global supply chains with Physical AI. Our robots work alongside warehouse teams to unload trucks and containers — one of the toughest, most understaffed jobs in logistics — making the work safer, faster, and more efficient for the people doing it. Loading trucks comes next, followed by the Dill Autonomy Engine: generalized autonomy that will eventually orchestrate robots across entire logistics processes.
We’re looking for a Junior Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our Manufacturing Test Engineering team and support the commissioning, configuration, and final acceptance testing of our robotic systems. This is an entry-level, hands-on role—you’ll execute defined test and commissioning procedures on the floor, working closely with senior engineers and technicians as you build toward owning test processes independently.
What You’ll Do
Execute commissioning procedures on assembled robots per defined work instructions, including device configuration, calibration, and functional validation
Load production software and customer-specific configurations onto units per established procedures
Carry out Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures and record results accurately
Flag test failures, calibration issues, or unexpected results with enough detail for senior engineers to act on
Keep test and commissioning records complete, accurate, and current
Learn and follow safety protocols, especially around electrical systems, robotic motion, and emergency stop validation
Work alongside senior Test Engineers and Manufacturing Engineering to understand the “why” behind each test step, not just the “how”
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
Comfortable working with test equipment, basic electrical measurement tools, and following detailed technical procedures
Strong attention to detail — this role is as much about catching when something doesn’t look right as it is about executing steps correctly
Clear and methodical written and verbal communication, especially for documenting test results and escalating issues
Foundational knowledge of command-line interfaces (CLI) and text editors
Willingness to learn the breadth of robotics-specific systems (networking, firmware, pneumatics) on the job — prior robotics experience is a plus, not a requirement
Aptitude for hands-on technical work with complex electro-mechanical systems
Inclination towards proactive process improvements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling required; occasional lifting of equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
Scripting experience to automate commissioning steps preferred
