·   Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot facility and utility systems to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

·   Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities in accordance with Cepheid standard operating procedures and approved maintenance plans.

·   Operate and maintain purified water generation and distribution systems, including softeners, reverse osmosis, electro deionization (EDI), and distribution loops.

·   Monitor critical water-quality parameters against approved specifications and promptly coordinate technical troubleshooting with OEMs and service providers.

·   Maintain molecular biology-grade water system availability in line with site KPI targets.

·   Monitor and support achievement of facility KPIs, including uptime, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), spare-parts management, and service-level agreements.

·   Improve the reliability and performance of key utility equipment and facility services through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

·   Identify and implement opportunities to reduce energy consumption and optimize utility performance.

·   Coordinate facility maintenance contractors, verify service quality, and ensure work is completed within defined SLAs.

·   Respond effectively to the requirements of internal customers and minimize disruption to business operations.

·   Maintain accurate temperature records and other facility documentation required for ISO 13485 audits and internal procedures.

·   Follow applicable EHS requirements, including lockout/tagout, PPE, chemical handling, and safe work practices.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

·   Strong understanding of building mechanical and utility systems, including air compressors, chillers, AHUs, heat exchangers, pumps, cooling towers, dehumidifiers, and exhaust systems.

·   Knowledge of CMMS and building management systems (BMS).

·   Working knowledge of chemical safety, lockout/tagout, PPE requirements, and effluent discharge norms.

·   Ability to diagnose equipment faults, coordinate repairs, and restore systems safely and promptly.

·   Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for weekly and monthly maintenance reporting.

·   Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across internal teams, contractors, and OEM representatives.
